FM voices keenness on Kenyan participation in Alamein Africa Forum

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati expressed Egypt’s aspiration for major Kenyan companies to participate in the upcoming Alamein Africa Forum. The event is scheduled to be held in Alamein City next month on the sidelines of the Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union. During a phone call with Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi, Abdel-Aati congratulated Kenya on the successful organisation of the Africa-France Summit, voicing hope to build on its outcomes in support of African interests. The Egyptian minister also stressed the importance of building on the results of the recent meeting between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Kenyan counterpart to further strengthen bilateral ties and expand co-operation across various sectors. The two ministers exchanged views on ways to promote peace, security and development across Africa, while affirming support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both Somalia and Sudan, as well as efforts aimed at enhancing stability in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
