Saudia Cargo, the Kingdom's national air cargo carrier, and Riyadh Cargo, the cargo arm of Riyadh Air, signed an interline agreement today to strengthen network integration and expand access to global markets, offering customers more flexible and efficient cargo solutions across the Kingdom, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the two carriers by leveraging their respective capabilities and expertise. It will enable customers to access a broader network of destinations while benefiting from greater shipping flexibility and more efficient cargo routes through key global trade corridors. The partnership also supports Riyadh Cargo's expansion strategy by strengthening its current network, which includes London, Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Madrid, and Malaga, and by enhancing connectivity to future destinations such as Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, and Dhaka. The airline aims to build a global network serving more than 100 destinations by 2030. Vice President of Network and Revenue Management at Saudia Cargo Eng. Mansour Al-Asmi said the agreement reflects the importance of integration and cooperation in advancing the Kingdom's logistics and cargo sector. It will deliver more comprehensive logistics solutions, facilitate trade flows, and better meet market demand while supporting the Kingdom's ambition to become a global logistics hub, he stressed. Vice President of Cargo at Riyadh Air Pravin Singh said the partnership supports the airline's vision of delivering reliable, digitally enabled cargo services in key international markets. The agreement expands Riyadh Air's global cargo network, creates new trade opportunities, and reinforces Riyadh's role as a future global logistics gateway, he added. The agreement will increase cargo capacity, improve the movement of goods across international markets, and provide freight forwarders and logistics partners with more reliable and flexible shipping solutions, enabling both carriers to extend their services beyond their direct networks. The partnership underscores both sides' commitment to advancing the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 by strengthening the Kingdom's global connectivity and reinforcing Riyadh and Jeddah as integrated gateways for international trade and logistics.
