JEDDAH — The Red Sea Film Foundation has announced the postponement of the sixth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival to the fourth quarter of 2027.The Foundation said the decision reflects its commitment to ensuring the festival is staged “at the right time and under the right conditions” to deliver the experience for which it has become known.Despite the postponement, the Foundation said its year-round activities will continue through the Red Sea Fund, Red Sea Labs and its wider programs and initiatives.Beginning in November 2026, the Foundation will also introduce year-round programming at Culture Square in Historic Jeddah, maintaining its cultural and industry activities ahead of the festival’s return.“We are deeply grateful to our filmmakers, partners, guests and audiences for their continued trust and support as we look ahead to the Festival’s return in 2027,” the Foundation said.The Foundation added that further information, including details on refunds for film submissions and accreditation, will be made available through the festival’s website.
