Labour Minister Hassan Raddad and Dakahlia Governor Tareq Marzouq held a meeting with investors and business owners in the Dakalia Industrial Zone. The meeting brought together officials and investors to strengthen dialogue and co-operation between the Ministry and the private sector in support of investment and production, and to promote decent employment opportunities for youth. The minister stressed that the Egyptian State, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, places investment and production at the top of its priorities, viewing them as key drivers of economic and social development and essential pillars for expanding employment opportunities and achieving comprehensive development. He noted that the Ministry of Manpower is committed to strengthening partnerships with investors and business owners as key partners in development, adding that the philosophy of the new Labour Law No. 14 of 2025 is based on achieving balance and stability in labour relations, while fostering an investment-friendly environment that protects the rights of both employers and workers and encourages expansion, productivity growth, and job creation. He further explained that the new law takes into account evolving labour market dynamics and provides enhanced guarantees and stability for investors, thereby improving the business climate and reinforcing job security within the private sector. The minister also called on investors to expand co-operation with the Ministry in implementing the “training for employment” approach, noting that vocational training systems are being continuously developed and aligned with actual labor market needs across governorates through fixed training centers and mobile units, to ensure the preparation of skilled and qualified workers in line with industry requirements. He added that the ministry’s role extends beyond regulation and oversight to facilitating investment procedures and ensuring a safe, stable, and conducive work environment that supports production while safeguarding workers’ rights and welfare. He further stressed that occupational safety and health remain central to workplace stability and productivity, noting the continued implementation of the “Your Safety Matters to Us” initiative to promote awareness and prevention culture in workplaces and protect workers and facilities. The Minister affirmed that the Ministry remains open to all proposals aimed at improving the work environment, boosting production, and balancing the interests of workers and employers, while commending serious investors for their contribution to national economic growth and job creation. For his part, the governor expressed appreciation for the Minister’s visit and the accompanying delegation, highlighting ongoing coordination between the governorate and the ministry to meet the needs of workers and investors, support production, and enhance the availability of goods and services, in addition to creating further employment opportunities, in line with the strong support of President Sisi for the labor and production system. Investors and business owners expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s direct engagement and its efforts to address challenges facing the industrial sector, affirming their support for national initiatives in training, employment, and industrial development under the leadership of President Sisi. Earlier, the Minister and Governor inspected several factories in the Gamasa Industrial Zone, including Al Mansour Food Industries, Plaza for Metal Industries, and Raviapak for Woven Plastic Sacks. The factories collectively provide approximately 1,500 job opportunities. The post ‘Investment, production top State priorities’ appeared first on Egyptian Gazette.
