France and Iraq have agreed on the need to diversify export routes for oil and gas amidst rising tensions in the Middle East. This was highlighted during Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s visit to Paris, where discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron also focused on ensuring regional energy security.
