Luxor University held talks with a delegation from China’s Capital Normal University to discuss expanding academic and cultural cooperation and upgrading the university’s Confucius classroom into a full Confucius institute, which would be the first of its kind in Upper Egypt. The meeting was attended by Luxor University President Sabrin Abdel-Galil along with senior university officials and members of the Chinese delegation, headed by university president Cao Wenjun. During the talks, they reviewed ways of developing educational and cultural programs, expanding scholarship opportunities, student exchange programs, scientific research cooperation and cultural activities. The Chinese delegation confirmed support for strengthening cooperation and developing joint programs between the two universities.
