EGYPTIAN GAZETTE
May 24, 2026

By Mohamed Attia The Egyptian Airports Company (EAC) recorded strong operational and financial indicators during the period from July 2025 to the end of April 2026, compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. The company’s operational and financial performance showed notable growth across various sectors, driven by an increase in flight and passenger traffic and improved operational revenues.  The results reflected balanced growth across all operational sectors, supported by continuous field follow-up from captain Wael el Nashar, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company.  At the air traffic level, international flights across the company’s airports increased from 124,149 to 133,902 flights, a growth rate of 12 per cent, while domestic flights rose from 37,403 to 41,768 flights, also recording 12 per cent growth.  This reflects growing confidence in Egyptian airports and higher operational activity in both international and domestic traffic. Passenger traffic also saw significant growth, with international passengers rising from 18.38 million to 20.92 million, an increase of 14 per cent, while domestic passenger numbers grew from 2.95 million to 3.40 million, a 15 per cent increase.  Financial performance also improved, with revenues from aircraft and passenger fees increasing by 13 per cent compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, driven by continued growth in air traffic and improved operational efficiency and services. These indicators confirm the success of the Egyptian Airports Company in continuing its development and operational plans, keeping pace with the growth in Egypt’s civil aviation sector, and enhancing the readiness of its airports to provide an integrated travel experience that reflects Egypt’s position as a key regional hub for air transport and tourism The post EAC records highest financial, operational performance appeared first on Egyptian Gazette.
