Dubai Airport receives 88,000 passengers in 24 hours

His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, revealed that entry procedures for 88,000 arrivals through Dubai airport were completed Monday, 17 August. The numbers are expected to rise to about 90,000 per day in the coming days, coinciding with the peak of the return movement from the summer vacations, he added.Dubai Airport is witnessing active passenger movement as residents return to the UAE after spending their holidays abroad, in addition to citizens who spent their vacations with their families in various countries around the world, Al Marri said.He stressed that Dubai Airport is one of the most important ports of entry to the UAE, handling visitors and returnees with great responsibility while maintaining the reputation UAE and the city of Dubai enjoys globally.Explaining the process, he said that the reception of passengers does not start at the passport counter. This start before they arrive there, through employees waiting in the front rows to receive arrivals from the escalators. This also involves providing them means of transportation inside the airport along with necessary assistance, ensuring that families, mothers, senior citizens and patients receive special attention, while the counters dedicated to children's services provide specialized and trained staff to deal with them.Al Marri pointed out that the red carpet receives returnees through Dubai airport, especially those arriving on Emirates Airline through Terminal 3, as part of a reception system that reflects the integration of services and the UAE's warmth to returnees.Al Marri explained that working at Dubai Airport is a responsibility and honour for the employee, pointing out that the employees are "lucky" to work in the city of Dubai, in one of the best airports in the world, and to serve various airlines, especially Emirates Airline.He pointed out that the evaluation of an employee's performance in Dubai residency is no longer limited to specific indicators, such as a smile or a welcome, explaining that the work system has gone beyond the usual methods, and has moved to provide new services and practices that are in line with Emirati customs and traditions and the directives of the leadership.Passenger service is part of the employees' responsibility in supporting the success of Dubai's aviation system, Al Marri said, pointing out that returning passengers feel the level of service at Dubai airports and compare it with their experiences abroad.He pointed out that teams deal daily with humanitarian cases that need special assistance, stressing that dealing with them is a duty and responsibility, and not a work for which the employee is waiting for praise or thanks.Al Marri expressed his pride in the team at Dubai Airport, praising the efforts of Dubai Police and Customs staff in assisting passengers and completing their procedures, including helping them deal with baggage and inspection devices, stressing that the work system is integrated, and each entity is playing its role to the fullest.Al Marri called on the public to share their observations and complaints with the management, stressing that listening to the opinions of customers is a key pillar for developing and improving services, and that the management welcomes any observation or complaint and deals with it with all interest and seriousness, based on its belief in the importance of continuous development and not stopping at the achievements achieved.He stressed that communication channels are available to the public through social media platforms and the Department's website, in addition to the possibility of direct communication with the Director General, stressing that the goal is to reach the best level of services and enhance the experience of arrivals and returnees through Dubai Airports.Al Marri stressed the continuation of efforts to welcome all arrivals and returnees, both citizens and residents, with a warm welcome, in a way that reflects the UAE's values and traditions of hospitality, and enhances the position of Dubai Airport as a major gateway to the country and the first interface to receive its guests.
