Beirut Port explosion: A test of justice, ethics, and accountability

While most legal and political observers agree that the delay in the investigation is due to a combination of judicial, political, and procedural factors, rather than to a single reason, the undeniable truth lies in the lack of ethics of the political class, as well as the security establishment, that governs this country and tyrannizes its people: at times by stealing their money and deposits; at others by obstructing the course of justice after a killing and an explosion, turning a blind eye and disregarding evidence for various motives; and at other times by manipulating the country’s security, fate, and health, involving it in others’ wars and making it their fuel.
