By Mohamed Attia Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh el-Hefny, and Philippe Tabarot, French Minister of Transport, attended the signing ceremony for a contract between Air Cairo and Airbus to add 30 new Airbus A320neo aircraft to the airline’s fleet. The deal will support the development of Air Cairo’s fleet, strengthen its operational capabilities, and expand its presence in regional and international markets. The contract was signed by Chairman of Air Cairo, Hussein Sherif, and President of Airbus Africa and the Middle East, Gabriel Semelas, in the presence of Wouter Van Wersch, Executive Vice President of Airbus’ Global Business. The deal is part of Air Cairo’s plan to expand its fleet and increase its operating capacity by adding more owned aircraft alongside its leased fleet. This will give the airline greater flexibility in managing its fleet and carrying out its growth plans over the coming years.
