Not much may change in American politics following the crushing defeat suffered by the Republican Party in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The deep state in the United States is the deepest and strongest, and it endures until its many enemies meet unknown fates.
As for the U.S. president, that is another matter. Donald Trump has not left a single fault uncommitted. He has stopped at no limit or standard. He has violated every rule, standard, concept, and principle, as well as diplomatic and personal decorum and relationships with countries and presidents.
He has treated the American presidency as though it were personal property, turning the White House into a house of shame. He has acted like a highway robber, disrespecting others, behaving tyrannically and unjustly, engaging in racism and thuggery, financial, economic, and political prostitution, mediating and trading in what should not be traded, buying and selling, bartering, behaving brutally, and clowning to the point of audacity.
He transformed himself into "the Pope," and also into "the Messiah" and "a God," disrespecting everyone and everything. He reaped what he had sown. And the pattern continues.
If I were in his position, I would resign immediately to preserve a shred of personal dignity, which he himself desecrated, and to protect the dignity of the United States and the slogan "Make America Great Again" (MAGA), which now holds no value whatsoever.
If I were the victorious Democratic Party in both the House and the Senate, I would immediately begin a legal, constitutional, and medical process to remove the president.
As for us in Lebanon and in the region of eternal curse, we must prepare for the worst, both internally and externally. However, no one is equal to this task, neither in Lebanon nor in the Arab region.
As for the "State of Israel" and the "State of the Supreme Leader," what comes their way will not be commendable. The likelihood is that we will soon witness tremendous and apocalyptic evils in the coming days.
And how terrible it is for our country to be utterly defenseless in the face of this great horror.
