AKHBAR.COM (operated by Akhbar Digital Publishing) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we use it. By using any AKHBAR.COM portal, you agree to this policy.
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the service:
Usage data (automatically collected): IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referral source, and session duration — via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), injected through Cloudflare Zaraz. This data is anonymised and aggregated. We do not store individual user sessions on our servers.
Cookies: We use a small number of functional cookies — specifically, a language preference cookie (akhbar_lang) to remember your chosen language across visits. No advertising cookies are set by AKHBAR.COM directly. Third-party ad networks, when active, may set their own cookies subject to their own policies.
No account data: AKHBAR.COM has no registration or login system for readers. We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.
Analytics data is used solely to understand aggregate readership patterns — which countries, which portals, which categories are most read — in order to improve the service. We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. We do not build individual profiles.
AKHBAR.COM uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Google Analytics 4 — audience measurement. Cloudflare — CDN, performance, and security. Buffer — social media scheduling (no reader data involved). Cloudflare R2 — media storage. Rocket.net — hosting infrastructure.
GA4 data is retained for 14 months (Google’s default), after which it is automatically deleted. Cookie data expires within 1 year. We do not retain server-side logs beyond standard hosting provider defaults.
If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with applicable data protection laws (including Gulf PDPL frameworks), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. AKHBAR.COM is a news service intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
