ALBAWABA - Zendaya brings Halle Berry iconic look back to life.
Zendaya gave fans a serious dose of early-2000s nostalgia this Halloween, bringing back one of Halle Berry’s most memorable fashion looks. The actress recreated the daring outfit Berry wore 26 years ago, proving that some red-carpet moments never go out of style.
The transformation was revealed on Saturday, October 31, when Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, shared photos and a video of her Halloween look on Instagram. Rather than choosing a fictional character, the 'Euphoria' star paid tribute to Berry by wearing the same vintage Lanvin outfit she famously debuted at the New York premiere of 'X-Men' in July 2000.
Roach confirmed the inspiration in his caption, writing: “Zendaya channeling Halle Berry wearing @lanvin Fall 2000.” He also thanked Lanvin artistic director Peter Copping and Alix Long for helping bring the look together.
The outfit featured a tiny yellow, brown and white printed string bikini top with matching low-rise, wide-leg trousers. The original design came from Lanvin’s Fall 2000 collection, and Roach managed to source the exact archival ensemble rather than simply finding a similar outfit.
Zendaya completed the throwback look with nude pointed-toe heels and purple-tinted rimless aviator sunglasses. She also wore her short pixie haircut in a slightly spiked style, adding to the resemblance to Berry’s original appearance.
Berry had styled the outfit differently when she wore it to the *X-Men* premiere. Her accessories included round yellow-tinted sunglasses, diamond stud earrings and a decorative belly chain worn low across her hips.

The recreation quickly caught the attention of fans, but one reaction stood out in particular. Halle Berry herself showed her appreciation for the tribute, responding to Roach’s Instagram post with a series of red heart emojis.
The Oscar-winning actress also shared a side-by-side comparison of the two looks on her Instagram Stories, highlighting how closely Zendaya had recreated her original outfit.
The moment added another chapter to the growing fashion connection between the two actresses. Berry has previously praised Zendaya for her style and for paying tribute to her iconic looks.
Zendaya’s Pixie Haircut Adds to the Halle Berry Resemblance
Zendaya’s Halloween transformation also followed a major hairstyle change earlier this year. She debuted a short pixie haircut at the 2026 Emmy Awards in September, immediately reminding fans of Berry’s famous cropped hairstyles.
The actress attended the ceremony in a custom silver-beaded Prada gown, with her new haircut becoming one of the biggest talking points of her appearance. Law Roach confirmed that Berry had inspired the hairstyle.
Berry later responded positively to the tribute. Speaking to 'People' in September, she praised Zendaya, saying, “I love everything she’s doing.” She also expressed how much she appreciated the younger actress honouring her style and career.
Zendaya has a long history of using fashion to revisit memorable moments from pop culture. In 2013, she recreated Aaliyah’s famous Tommy Hilfiger campaign look for Keep a Child Alive’s Dream Halloween. She also paid tribute to Cher at the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony by wearing a vintage Bob Mackie design.
Her latest Halloween appearance brings another iconic look back into the spotlight. And with Berry herself approving the recreation, Zendaya’s tribute has become one of the standout celebrity fashion moments of Halloween 2026.
