Dubai: Dubai Airports has launched a new series of experiences to welcome passengers arriving at Dubai International Airport (DXB), offering warm and thoughtful touches inspired by Arabian hospitality.The initiative is designed for residents returning to Dubai after the summer season, visitors to the city and passengers transiting through the world’s busiest international airport.The activities create memorable moments for passengers travelling through Terminal 3, transforming spaces ranging from baggage reclaim and the arrivals hall to transit areas across DXB.The welcome experiences include mascot characters from Dubai Police and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), who greet young travellers, while a local musician brings a warm atmosphere to the arrivals area with a live performance.As passengers continue through the arrivals hall, they are greeted by a series of simple gestures designed to celebrate their arrival in Dubai.A vibrant spaceFamilies and friends in the arrivals hall can create personalised welcome signs using Dubai-inspired stickers and decorations at the “Make Your Welcome Back Sign” station. The initiative transforms the hall into a vibrant space celebrating reunions after time apart.Passengers continuing their journeys in Dubai taxis receive complimentary refreshments, snacks and refreshing cold towels provided by Mirzam, Emirati Neighbourhood, Emirates Flight Catering and oneDXB partners, extending the city’s renowned hospitality beyond the airport terminal.Transit passengers at DXB are welcomed with a live performance inspired by the sounds of the region, offering them a glimpse of Dubai’s vibrant music scene.They can also enjoy complimentary refreshments and treats provided by Project Chaiwala, Mirzam, Emirati Neighbourhood and Garrett Popcorn.Unforgettable experiencesMichelle Lee, Vice President of Brand and Communications at Dubai Airports, said: “Dubai International Airport is the gateway to Dubai and, for many guests, their first point of contact with the city.“We want every moment, from the time passengers arrive at the airport or transit through it, to reflect Dubai’s vibrancy, warmth and diversity, as well as the lively spirit its people bring to the city.“Whether a guest is returning home or spending only a few hours with us between flights, our primary aim is to transform these everyday touchpoints into unforgettable experiences.”All passengers can also take part in Dubai Airports’ interactive “Dubai in the Heart” experience near Gate B28, which allows them to explore the city in an innovative way.By uploading a selfie, guests can become part of a collective image of Dubai displayed in the colours of the UAE flag. They can also leave a handwritten message expressing their pride and gratitude on the adjacent message wall before receiving limited-edition commemorative stickers and pins.The experience will continue throughout August across Terminal 3 and forms part of Dubai Airports’ ongoing efforts to strengthen DXB’s position as a preferred destination characterised by warmth and care for everyone.
