ALBAWABA - U.S. Price increases reached 3.7 percent in the latest report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate is the highest it has been before a midterm election, with the exception of the pandemic, since 1990.
The American public have directed their anger at the current Trump administration and the wider GOP, placing the responsibility for the increase in their lap as they control both houses of Congress.
A recent survey from Reuters/Ipsos shows that 78 percent of Americans blame the current Trump administration’s policies for the price increase, including 57 percent of Republicans who support Donald Trump.
🚨🇺🇸 Trump claims inflation is down to 1.7%…
That is just not true. Actual inflation is more than DOUBLE that, sitting at 3.7% in Sept according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
This is up from 3.4% the previous month, heavily driven by spiking energy costs and the ongoing Iran war.
He is simply pulling numbers out of thin air!

The 3.7 percent rate is up from 3.4 percent reported in August and is the highest this year since their three-year peak in May at 4.2 percent.
The main driver of price increases is gasoline, having risen 34 percent since last year; fuel oil, which is used by Americans to heat their homes in winter, has risen a whopping 74 percent from last year. Air travel – which many Americans rely on during the holidays – also increased by 22.4 percent.
All these increases have been largely driven by the U.S.-Israel instigated war in Iran, as, due to the closure of Hormuz, fuel prices have seen significant rises all across the world, with diesel in particular hitting record highs in the U.S.
In classic Trump fashion, the fault always lies elsewhere, the U.S. president blamed Iran’s closure of the strait for the price increases – even though he and his administration claim it’s “open” – and more recently blaming Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia ahead of the midterm elections.
“They’ve emerged again, probably at the behest of Iran … in a very nasty way, hitting Saudi Arabia, and purposefully trying to drive up Oil Prices, probably prior to the U.S. Elections — NOT NICE,” he wrote.
