The United States has condemned a drone attack on Khartoum Airport and other civilian sites, warning that such strikes further hinder urgently needed humanitarian access in Sudan. In a post on X, Massad Boulos, senior adviser to the US President on Arab and African affairs, renewed calls for Sudanese parties to accept a humanitarian truce and ceasefire. “The United States condemns the drone attack on Monday targeting Khartoum Airport and other civilian sites, reportedly committed by the Rapid Support Forces,” Boulos said. He added that civilian objects must not be targeted.
