Dubai: High temperatures and high humidity are marking the start of the week in the UAE, with the mercury in the mid-40s and relative humidity (RH) between 70 to 90%.The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with a probability of some convective cloud formation eastward by afternoon, which may be associated with rainfall.High temperatures across the UAEDespite regions like Fujairah expecting rain today, temperatures are high across the country.Coastal and island regions are set to experience highs between 38°C and 43°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 44°C to 49°C.Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah will see highs of 45°C, while Sharjah and Al Ain will peak at 46°C. Liwa remains the hottest part of the country today, at 47°C.Humidity in coastal areas is expect to reach 90%, while internal areas will see a RH level of 80%. The NCM advises driving cautiously in such conditions, as high humidity is likely to cause fog formation overnight and in the early morning hours.Calm seas aheadThe NCM also expects lights to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, reaching speeds of up to 35km/h in coastal areas.
