Dubai: Humidity is on the rise, so expect the weather to feel hotter than it actually is, in the daytime today, along with building fog and mist overnight. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with convective cloud formation eastward and southward by afternoon, extending to some internal areas. Regions like Fujairah, Nahil, Al Ain and Liwa may see scattered rainfall today. Some internal areas may also see hail, according to the NCM.Higher humidity, warmer weatherYou can expect the relative humidity (RH) to increase by night, and into Thursday morning over some western coastal areas, with the probability of mist formation. While the RH is expected to peak at 85% in internal and mountainous regions, it is increasing to 90% in coastal regions. Drive carefully in such conditions, as horizontal visibility may drop sharply.According to the NCM, the Comfort Index is higher by five degrees today – so add five degrees to the temperatures listed below, and that’s what the weather actually ‘feels like’, as opposed to its thermometer reading.Temperatures are in the mid- to high-40s across most major cities in the UAE.Coastal and island regions are set to experience highs between 38°C and 44°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 45°C to 50°C.Abu Dhabi will see a peak of 47°C today, while Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will see highs of at 44°C.
