UAE weather forecast: Temperatures dip slightly as NCM warns of dusty winds today

Dubai: As the mercury slides down to the low-40s today, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy skies, with a gradual decrease in temperatures, especially over the coasts.Expect some clouds to appear eastward by afternoon today, as well as light to moderate winds, freshening at times, and causing blowing dust.Wind speeds can increase from 20km/h to 35km/h in coastal regions, and up to 40km/h in internal areas, stirring up dust in open, exposed zones. The NCM advises residents to be cautious when driving in such conditions, as it may cause reduced horizontal visibility.Slight dip in temperaturesThe NCM forecasts temperatures in coastal and island areas to range between 41°C to 46°C, while internal areas will range between 44°C to 48°C.Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will see a maximum temperature of 44°C today, while Dubai and Sharjah will see highs of 43°C. Liwa remains the warmest region of the UAE, with a high of 47°C.Sea conditionsSea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, according to the NCM.
