Dubai: It’s the perfect weekend for a trip to the beach, with tranquil seas and lower temperatures across the UAE.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather this weekend, with a chance of convective cloud formation eastward and northward, associated with rainfall. Areas like Masafi, Fujairah, and parts of Sharjah may see rain, according to the NCM.
Cooler weather but spike in humidity
Today, humidity is increasing to 80% in Dubai and Sharjah, and to 90% in Fujairah, which is why the NCM expects fog to develop overnight and on Sunday morning in some coastal and internal areas.
Temperatures are holding steady in the mid-30s. Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah will reach a high of 36°C today, while Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain will peak at 35°C. Fujairah will remain the coolest emirate, at 31°C.
Slight sea conditions
With calm seas forecast throughout the weekend, along both the eastern and western coastlines of the UAE, it’s a great time to head to the beach and take advantage of better weather.
The NCM forecasts slight sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, with wave heights reaching up to two feet on-shore, and up to three feet off-shore.
