Dubai: Students returned to classrooms across the UAE on Monday as the 2026-2027 academic year got under way, with schools fully prepared and classes commencing from the first day.The first day of the new academic year featured festive welcome programmes as part of the Ministry of Education's "With the Charter, We Reach Horizons" campaign.Schools organised a range of welcoming activities in a positive and engaging environment aimed at reinforcing the values of the National Charter for Education and providing students with an encouraging start to the school year.Textbooks were distributed to students, who also received welcome gifts amid an atmosphere reflecting the excitement of returning to school.The activities included recreational and interactive programmes, as well as motivational competitions designed to ease first-day anxiety and promote a sense of enthusiasm and engagement among students.Schools resumed academic activities following extensive preparations to ensure a smooth start to the new academic year.
