UAE says situation remains safe after missile threat detected

Abu Dhabi: UAE authorities have confirmed that the situation remains safe after the country's air defence system detected a missile threat and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) issued a public alert.Authorities said normal activities can continue, while urging the public to remain cautious, follow official instructions and rely only on verified information from official sources.NCEMA said in a statement posted on its official social media channels that the UAE's air defence system had detected a missile threat to the country."The air defense system has detected a missile threat on the country. Please remain in a safe place and follow warnings and updates from official sources," the authority said.The advisory was accompanied by a public safety notice urging residents to remain in safe locations and monitor official updates.Authorities emphasised that the public should rely exclusively on official channels for information and instructions and avoid circulating unverified reports.
