Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a congratulatory cable to Andy Burnham on the occasion of his appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.Posting on his X account, Sheikh Mohamed said: "Congratulations to @andyburnham on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I look forward to working together to further build upon the close and longstanding ties between our two countries and peoples." His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also posted a message of congratulations to the new British Prime Minister, stating: "I congratulate Mr. Andy Burnham on assuming the position of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. We look forward to strengthening the strategic partnership, deepening economic cooperation, and developing the exceptional historical relations that bind our two countries for the benefit and prosperity of our two friendly peoples." His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also sent similar congratulatory cables to Andy Burnham.Andy Burnham officially became the UK's Prime Minister on July 20, after being invited to form a government by King Charles III.
