UAE President, Israeli PM Discuss Means to Strengthen Relations
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received on Sunday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During the meeting in the UAE, the officials discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, reported the UAE state news agency WAM on Monday.
Saudi FM, Rubio Discuss Regional Developments, Yemen
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held talks in Washington on Monday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on regional and international developments.
They tackled the security and political developments in the region and the situation in Yemen.
They underlined the importance of protecting the safety and freedom of navigation in international waterways, especially the Straits of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb, which will consolidate regional stability and the flow of commercial vessels and global supply chains.
They stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultations between Riyadh and Washington over issues of common interest, and backing diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing regional crises and bolstering security, peace and stability.
Prince Faisal and Rubio discussed the strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and the US and means to consolidate and develop them in various fields to benefit the peoples of both nations.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Washington Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs for Lebanese Affairs Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Farhan, Special Envoy and Advisor of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Negotiations and Peace Efforts Manal Radwan and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan.
Saudi Arabia, Morocco Discuss Bolstering Defense Cooperation
Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz held on Monday a phone call with Morocco's Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in Charge of National Defense Administration Abdellatif Loudyi.
They discussed ways to strengthen Saudi-Moroccan defense cooperation in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the leaderships of both countries.
They reviewed joint efforts to support security and stability in the region in the wake of current developments.
Saudi Defense Minister Invites UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed to Visit Kingdom
Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz extended on Monday an invitation to United Arab Emirates Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed’s visit reflects the deep-rooted, historic relations between the two countries, both at the leadership and popular levels, built upon ties of blood, brotherhood, and shared geography.
The wisdom of the leadership in both countries is demonstrated by their capable and responsible management of strategic relations, preserving stability and mutual interests while strengthening a unified Gulf stance against regional and international challenges.
During a press conference in January, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah stressed that relations between the two countries are "of paramount importance for regional stability," describing the UAE as "an important partner within the Gulf Cooperation Council."
