Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a Federal Decree appointing Dr Ahmed Sultan Nasser Al Shuaibi as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.Dr Al Shuaibi brings extensive experience in higher education, talent development and academic leadership to the role.Prior to his appointment, he served as Executive Director of the Higher Education and Talent Development sectors at the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), where he played a key role in advancing higher education policies and talent development initiatives.He also served as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Khalifa University and held academic positions as a professor in several engineering disciplines at higher education institutions across the UAE.Throughout his career, Dr Al Shuaibi has contributed to a range of specialised projects focused on academic pathways, student guidance and professional development.He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, awarded in 2008, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Strathclyde.Dr Al Shuaibi has also authored and contributed to numerous scientific and engineering research papers, reflecting his strong background in academia and research.
