Amman: The UAE Judo Team concluded its participation in the Arab Junior and Youth Judo Championship in Amman, Jordan, with a total of 11 medals after adding one gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the final round of competition.The UAE Judo Federation said the junior team competed in the youth category to gain additional competitive experience.Among the standout performers was Rashid Nematov, who claimed the gold medal in the under-81kg category after defeating Lebanon's Fadi Al-Saqili in the final.In the under-20 category, Masoud Mohammed Al-Masmari secured a silver medal following a strong performance against Syria's Yassin Saleh, who clinched victory in the closing moments of the contest.Abdul Rahman Janiev added a bronze medal in the youth under-60kg category.The federation also praised the performances of Anas Al-Yamahi, Bati Ahmed Al-Hashmi and Saqr Al-Otaibi, who competed strongly throughout the championship.The UAE team had opened its campaign by winning eight medals, including three gold, two silver and three bronze.The earlier gold medals were won by Bati Ahmed Al-Hashmi (under-60kg), Saqr Badr Al-Otaibi (under-66kg) and Youssef Al-Awad (under-81kg).Silver medals were secured by Manaa Al-Zaabi (50kg) and Hamdan Al-Mazmi (73kg).Bronze medals went to Masoud Al-Masmari, Mohammed Al-Mazmi and Anas Al-Yamahi in the 55kg, 50kg and 66kg categories respectively.With the additional three medals won in the final round, the UAE finished the championship with an overall tally of 11 medals.
