Abu Dhabi: The UAE Government Media Office has launched the Government Media Content Guideline during the latest meeting of the Government Communication Network, held at Creators HQ in Dubai. The meeting brought together Saeed Al Eter, Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, along with communication directors and officials from federal entities. The launch is part of the Media Office’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the federal government communication ecosystem, raise professional standards across entities, and equip communication teams with the tools needed to produce sharper, more consistent content aligned with national priorities.Saeed Al Eter opened the meeting by reaffirming the UAE Government’s commitment to building a communications system that moves at the pace of global change. “We are developing an advanced government communication ecosystem grounded in data, knowledge, and the latest digital technologies,” he said. “Our goal is to deliver content that is credible, impactful, and reaches every segment of society, with people at the heart of every message.”He also addressed the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of government media. “Agentic AI will define the next phase,” he said. “It will enable the production of real-time, high-quality content at scale, help counter misinformation before it spreads, support more precise crisis management, and strengthen engagement with digital communities. Government communication will become more proactive, responsive, and effective.”The meeting featured a dedicated session by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), titled The UAE Model in Crisis Media Management. The session provided an in-depth overview of the principles and methodologies guiding the UAE’s approach to crisis communication, drawing on practical experience and established frameworks. It emphasized that government communication is not just a support function during crises, but a frontline tool that builds public trust, limits the spread of misinformation, and enables institutions to respond with confidence and coherence. The Government Media Content Guideline is a practical, end-to-end framework designed to elevate the standard of media content across federal entities. It focuses on actionable tools and clear methodologies that guide communication teams through every stage of the content creation process. The guideline covers strategic planning, editorial direction, message development, content production (written and visual), and distribution across media channels. Each stage follows defined standards to ensure content is clear, consistent with the UAE’s communication identity, and effective in reaching its intended audience.Alongside the launch, the UAE Government Media Office conducted a hands-on workshop on government content for communication teams. The workshop translated the guideline into practical application, allowing participants to develop skills in building strong narratives, crafting effective messages, and adapting content for different platforms and audiences.Designed as an interactive working session rather than a lecture, the workshop provided participants with direct experience in both the creative and strategic aspects of government communication, from planning and clarity of messaging to performance outcomes after publication.
