Dubai: Gold and silver prices rose in UAE local markets on Monday, 20 July, at the start of the trading week, mirroring gains in global precious metals markets. The increase came amid a weaker US dollar and stronger demand for safe-haven assets, as investors awaited key US economic data that could provide fresh signals on the direction of monetary policy in the coming period.The price of 24-carat gold reached around AED484.00 per gram, while 22-carat gold traded at approximately AED448.25 per gram.Meanwhile, 21-carat gold was priced at around AED429.75 per gram and 18-carat gold at AED368.25 per gram, marking a return to gains for the yellow metal after a period of declines in recent sessions.Silver prices also recorded notable gains.
