Dubai: The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has issued a public advisory urging individuals to verify website links before entering any personal or official information, highlighting growing risks linked to digital fraud.In a recent social media post, the ministry emphasized the importance of checking URLs carefully, warning users to be cautious of lookalike websites, intentional spelling variations, and sponsored search results that may redirect to fraudulent platforms.The ministry stressed that a simple verification step before clicking on links can significantly reduce the risk of data theft and online scams. The awareness message reinforces safe browsing habits as a key measure in protecting sensitive information.Accompanying the advisory, MOHRE shared a visual message stating: “Verification of Links Protects your Personal Data,” underlining the importance of vigilance in online interactions.The announcement forms part of ongoing efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness and encourage responsible digital practices among individuals and organizations across the UAE.
