Trump: “We can wipe out Iran” as U.S. claims control over Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the attack launched by American forces against Iran last night, describing it as “not a war” but rather a “limited strike.” He announced that American forces had destroyed an Iranian air defense facility immediately after its completion, noting that it had taken approximately two months to construct.

In statements to Fox News, Trump added that American forces had destroyed Iran’s air defenses, claiming that the country no longer possesses aircraft or air defense systems. He also issued a threat, saying: “We can wipe out Iran.”

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said the United States has complete control over it thanks to the naval blockade, adding that oil prices are hitting record lows.

Regarding U.S. aid to Israel, Trump said it would end by the end of the year, arguing that Israel no longer needs it. “If they did need it, I would say keep it going,” he added, pointing to an agreement reached with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In another context, Trump said he was nearing a fertilizer agreement with Canada and accused Democrats of election fraud in the state of Alaska.

Describing the current midterm elections as the most important, Trump said his administration had already “made America great again” and urged voters to preserve what he called “America’s greatness.”

Trump said he expected the midterm election results to be better than many anticipated and that he would follow them from the White House.
