The American news website Axios revealed that the meeting included a comprehensive briefing on potential military scenarios against Iran, indicating that Trump gave Tehran a final deadline of “a few days” to achieve a diplomatic breakthrough – which could be extended to just two or three days, or perhaps until the end of the week. Axios reported US officials as saying that Trump is considering decisive steps in the coming hours, while the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) reported on security assessments indicating that Trump is nearing a decision regarding resuming war against Iran. Kan reported that an US security official confirmed that “joint US-Israeli preparations for resuming military operations against Iran are fully complete,” reflecting the high level of coordination between Washington and Tel Aviv at this sensitive stage. Kan added that the Israeli military establishment and the White House held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of a military strike against Iran, given the ongoing regional tensions. Trump on Monday announced the postponement of an attack that had been scheduled for Tuesday against Iran, following intensive consultations with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. He confirmed that the postponement would last “two or three days” and that Israel had been officially informed.
