ALBAWABA - The Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) launched a huge Janfada campaign [Janfada means sacrifice for Iran] earlier to train women in several military aspects, Mehr news agency reported Wednesday.
The Iranian news agency said that a group of registrants for the IRGC campaign finalized their training, which was held at the iconic Imam Hossein Square in Tehran.
As part of expanding the Iranian mobilization program, Tehran held its first military course for a number of women. The training includes military and emergencies and covers rifles, FPV drones, anti-tank weapons, urban warfare, in addition to first aid.
Videos emerged online showing Iranian women carrying rifles as they train at the iconic Imam Hossein Square.
Earlier in September, a female official in Iran's Basij said that women would participate in an exercise involving 110,000 members of the campaign's battalions across the capital.
