Dubai: Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has congratulated His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, on the 20th anniversary of his appointment as Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. Her Highness, who is President of the UAE Gender Balance Council and President of Dubai Women Establishment, said the milestone marks two decades of work, dedication and achievement during which Dubai witnessed major transformations that reinforced its position as a global model in government efficiency, development, competitiveness and innovation.She said: "I congratulate my brother, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on this occasion in which we recall a journey full of giving and achievements, and his contributions to continuing Dubai's development journey, inspired by the approach of our father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and his ambitious vision that made excellence and achievement a deeply rooted culture in government work."She added that Dubai had witnessed rapid development across economic and social sectors during this period, strengthened its government capabilities, enhanced service delivery and reinforced its global standing.Her Highness also referred to the message addressed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, saying it reflected feelings of pride and appreciation for his leadership over the past two decades, as well as his humility, closeness to people and the affection he enjoys among them.She said the achievements of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed have translated the confidence placed in him by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and contributed to strengthening government efficiency, enhancing Dubai's readiness for the future and turning ambitious visions into reality.Her Highness emphasised that the achievements of the past 20 years reinforce the importance of continuing to invest in people and future generations."What Dubai has achieved during these years, under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, confirms that people will remain the focus of development and the foundation of its sustainability," she said.She expressed confidence that Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed would continue carrying the responsibility of shaping the future, drawing on what she described as an inspiring leadership legacy and an exceptional school of governance and administration, while continuing the UAE's journey towards greater progress and leadership.
