Sheikha Latifa honours legacy of late Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan

Dubai: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), paid tribute to her grandmother, the late Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, describing her as a woman who quietly made her mark and placed humanity at the heart of her giving.In a post on X, Her Highness said: "My grandmother, Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan... a woman who quietly made her mark, and placed humanity at the heart of her giving."Sheikha Latifa said she came to know her grandmother through family stories as a woman who was close to people and present in the details of their lives.She added that the late Sheikha Latifa viewed serving the community as a responsibility that did not require publicity and saw empowering women and families as a way to build a stronger society.Her Highness also referred to a British document she had read, saying it reflected how others viewed her grandmother and highlighted her contributions to education, healthcare and supporting those in need.She said the document affirmed that "real impact does not always need to announce itself", adding that it is enough for that impact to remain in people's lives.
