Dubai: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has mourned the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.In a post on X, Sheikha Latifa said: “Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return. Today, we have lost someone dear to our hearts, and Dubai and the UAE have lost one of their devoted men.“May God have mercy on Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who will remain present in our memory, and in the memory of Dubai and its people, for the kindness and loyalty we knew in him, and for the legacy of love and giving he leaves behind, whose impact will endure.“May God have mercy on him and forgive him, grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and grant us, his family and his loved ones patience and solace.”
