Sharjah: Sharjah City Municipality has announced the implementation of the residential permit system in the Al-Fisht, Sharqan and Al-Rifa’a areas, in a step aimed at organising parking spaces and allocating them to residents, in order to reduce their exploitation.In conjunction with the implementation of the system, the Municipality carried out a comprehensive inspection campaign to monitor wrong practices in those areas, most notably, parking vehicles in front of residential homes to avoid paying public parking fees. The authorities worked to alert vehicle owners of the need not to use those parking spaces if they are not residents of the areas, in order to avoid taking legal and administrative measures against violating vehicles.
