Atlanta: Scottie Scheffler rallied from three shots behind to win the Tour Championship on Sunday, securing his second FedEx Cup title and overtaking Tiger Woods as the PGA Tour's all-time career earnings leader.Scheffler closed with a 4-under-par 66 at East Lake to finish ahead of Viktor Hovland, who had held the lead earlier in the final round.The American quickly reduced the deficit with a superb 5-iron on the second hole that finished just two inches from the cup, before drawing level with a 25-foot birdie putt on the fourth. He moved ahead for the first time on the 13th hole and remained in front through the closing stretch.The victory was Scheffler's third title of 2026 and his second win in the PGA Tour's post-season, matching Chris Gotterup, Matt Fitzpatrick and US Open champion Wyndham Clark for the most victories this year.Scheffler previously won the FedEx Cup in 2024 and is now in contention to earn a fifth consecutive PGA Tour Player of the Year award, which would equal the record set by Woods.The Tour Championship's USD40 million purse counts as official prize money, with Scheffler collecting USD10 million for the victory.The win lifted his career PGA Tour earnings to USD130.39 million, moving him ahead of Woods, who had held the top spot on the career money list for nearly 26 years.The triumph also provided some redemption for Scheffler, who lost to Hovland in a playoff at the Travelers Championship earlier this season and has recorded five runner-up finishes in 2026.
