NEW YORK — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Prime Minister of Bangladesh Tarique Rahman in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further strengthen them across various fields. Several issues and topics of mutual interest were also figured in their talks. Prince Faisal bin Farhan also met with Lebanon’s Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam in New York. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields. They also discussed regional developments and acknowledged the Lebanese government's efforts to preserve the Lebanese state and its national institutions, thereby contributing to regional security and stability.They agreed to activate the Saudi-Lebanese Joint Committee, which aims to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two nations. Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Lebanese Affairs Prince Yazid bin Mohammed also attended the meeting. The Saudi foreign minister also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Morocco Nasser Bourita in New York. They reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation. The ministers discussed key regional issues and other topics of common interest.
