RIYADH — A Bloomberg survey conducted this September revealed that the Saudi economy may record positive growth this year, with expectations of a stronger recovery next year. According to the survey, the average forecast for Saudi Arabia’s GDP growth this year, based on estimates from 15 economists at major international banks, stands at around 0.6 percent, compared to 1. 6 percent in the previous survey. Estimates ranged from growth of nearly 3 percent to a contraction of 2.5 percent. In contrast, analysts forecast that the Saudi economy will grow by approximately 6.1 percent in 2027. The Bloomberg survey was conducted between September 11 and 16. Meanwhile, daily reports from tanker-tracking companies indicate a significant increase in Saudi exports through the Strait of Hormuz.
