Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not merely a perception but a tangible reality underpinning economic growth, tourism, entertainment, and quality of life, driven by the sustained efforts of government institutions and security agencies dedicated to safeguarding stability, enabling the Kingdom to rank among the world’s leading nations in safety and security. Saudi Arabia has been recognized as the safest country among the G20 nations, according to data from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Indicators Database, in comparison with the results of the Safety Index for 2025, according to SPA. An impressive 97.7% of the population reports feeling safe walking alone at night in their neighborhoods, reflecting the Kingdom's rapid development, effective preventive measures, and proactive approach to crime prevention. The Ministry of Interior has further strengthened public safety through initiatives such as the Unified Security Operations Center (911) and the Unified Crime Classification System. By leveraging artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and automated security systems, alongside continuous public awareness campaigns and a visible security presence, the ministry has enhanced public confidence and reinforced safety across communities, airports, seaports, and the Kingdom’s extensive borders.
