Saudi Arabia Reviews Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts and Latest Developments in US-Iran Talks
Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate phone talks on Monday with his Iranian and Pakistani counterparts where discussions focused on the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, and Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at containing tensions and reinforce the diplomatic track in the region. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said that Prince Faisal received a phone call from Iranian FM Abbas Araghchi. They reviewed recent developments in the diplomatic talks between Tehran and Washington and exchanged views on regional issues of mutual concern. In a separate call with Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the two officials discussed Islamabad’s mediation efforts to end the war between Iran and the US. Both sides stressed the importance of political and diplomatic solutions and voiced support for efforts aimed at strengthening regional security and stability.
