Saudi Arabia imposes final anti-dumping duties on Indian ductile iron pipe imports

RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Commerce has imposed final anti-dumping duties on imports of hollow pipes and tubes of cast iron (ductile iron pipes) with diameters ranging from 100 mm to 1,000 mm and technical specifications K9 and C Class to C40. The decision was issued by Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT), Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. The duties apply to pipes used in water distribution networks, stormwater drainage systems, wastewater networks, irrigation systems, and fire protection networks that originate in or are exported from the Republic of India. The final anti-dumping duties will apply to imports of the product for five years, effective August 4, 2026. The decision imposing the final duties, along with the public notice, has been published in Umm Al-Qura. The decision was issued under the Kingdom's Trade Remedies in International Trade Law, based on the final findings of an investigation launched on July 23, 2025, following a complaint submitted by the domestic industry. The law aims to protect domestic industries from unfair trade practices in the Saudi market. The decision also instructs the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to impose and collect final anti-dumping duties on the product at rates ranging from 16.96 percent to 29.94 percent, in accordance with the schedule included in the decision, which sets out the applicable duties in detail. Further details on the decision and the public notice are available on the official website of the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) under the "Trade Remedies Investigations – Announcements and Circulars" section. The General Authority of Foreign Trade seeks to enhance and maximize Saudi Arabia's gains from international trade and defend the Kingdom's interests in foreign trade, contributing to the growth of the national economy.
