Dubai road toll operator Salik has announced it will start applying 5% VAT on all its usages fees from June 1. This additional charge will be applied on fees on Salik toll gates and activation fee for toll cards, the company said.”We inform our users that, effective from 1 June 2026, a value-added tax of 5% will be applied to the usage fees for Salik gates and the activation fees for toll cards, with the tax amounts to be remitted to the Federal Tax Authority in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the United Arab Emirates,” Salik posted on its X platform.
