Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a project to upgrade the lighting of pedestrian bridges at 30 key locations across the emirate.The project is part of RTA’s People Happiness initiative, which aims to provide a safer and more comfortable mobility environment for users of road facilities while enhancing the overall customer experience.According to RTA, the initiative also supports efforts to strengthen Dubai’s position in the green economy and sustainable development, promote a cleaner environment, optimise the use of RTA assets and extend their operational lifespan.The authority said the project is expected to improve pedestrian safety during evening hours and enhance the experience of using pedestrian bridges across the city.The lighting upgrade aligns with Dubai’s vision of developing smart and sustainable infrastructure that places people’s happiness and quality of life at the forefront of its priorities.The project will cover 30 strategic pedestrian bridge locations throughout Dubai.
