RIYADH: The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has signed contracts to purchase 94 new trains to increase the Riyadh Metro fleet from 183 to 277 trains.The announcement was made by the commission’s CEO Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sultan during a government press conference on Monday.Deliveries of the new trains are scheduled to begin in batches starting in 2028 and they will increase the network’s total passenger capacity by 60 percent by allocating additional capacity to lines based on passenger volu
