By Mohamed Attia The Egyptian Red Sea airline is set to launch its first flights from Moscow to Alamein International Airport starting September 7, as part of efforts to boost tourism to Egypt, announced Hatem Qenawy, the Chairman of Red Sea Airlines. The flights will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with two flights per week on Mondays and Thursdays. The move comes amid growing interest among Russian tourists in Alamein, one of Egypt’s leading destinations on the Mediterranean coast. Meanwhile, Red Sea Airlines announced that it has received its first modern apron passenger bus, the TAM Vivair X, at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, making it the first airline in Egypt to operate this advanced model of airport passenger bus. Qenawy said that the new bus represents an important step in improving ground services and enhancing the efficiency of transporting passengers between the airport terminals and aircraft, while maintaining high standards of safety and comfort. He added that the TAM Vivair X offers several advantages, particularly in terms of safety and reliability, as it is designed to meet high international safety standards and protect passengers while operating on the airport apron. The bus also provides greater passenger comfort, with a spacious interior, smooth operation and an improved design aimed at offering a better ground travel experience. It is also environmentally friendly, using technologies designed to reduce carbon emissions and support more sustainable airport operations. In addition, it provides smooth and efficient connections between different stages of the passenger journey. Qenawy said the company’s ground operations centre at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport continues to support and develop its operations in order to meet the expectations of passengers traveling on its flights.
