President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, on Sunday, inaugurated the Integrated New Delta Development Project in Dabaa. The New Delta is considered one of Egypt’s mega agricultural projects, aiming to transform the desert sands of nearly 2.5 million feddans into fertile green land to help secure the country’s food supply. Hundreds of thousands of feddans have already been cultivated using treated agricultural drainage water, producing high-quality crops. The inauguration was attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, along with several ministers and senior state officials.
