The president’s surprise visit came as part of his close follow-up of operational readiness and ongoing activities at the facility, as well as to assess its preparedness across various specialisations, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed el-Shennawy said. The Strategic Command Headquarters represents a major qualitative and quantitative leap in the development of the Armed Forces’ military capabilities. During the tour, President Sisi also visited the Egyptian Military Academy, where he met with a number of academy cadets, Ambassador Shennawy said. The president reviewed the academy’s educational system and training programmes, assessing the progress of academic and practical instruction provided to students. President Sisi also engaged in an interactive discussion with the academy cadets on the training activities they undertake, stressing the importance of exerting maximum effort and maintaining continuous self-development to enhance their capabilities and professional readiness, the presidency spokesman said.
