U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pessent announced on Tuesday that the United States knows which entities are providing services to the Iranian regime, noting that these activities have suddenly come to a halt.
Pessent added that there are currently no Iranian oil shipments at sea, likening Iran's situation to a company heading toward bankruptcy.
He pointed out that Washington has not detected any oil-loading operations at Iran's Kharg Island oil facility since last August.
Pessent's statements come amid U.S. pressure on Iran's oil sector, a major source of revenue for Tehran.
Washington seeks to restrict Iranian oil exports, as well as the associated transportation networks and services, as part of its policy to increase economic pressure on Iran.
