Passports Directorate takes 24,417 penal actions against violators in a month

RIYADH — The General Directorate of Passports issued 24,417 administrative decisions against citizens and expatriates for violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations during the last Hijri month of Safar. The penalties, issued through the directorate’s administrative committees at passport offices across the Kingdom's regions, included imprisonment, fines, and deportation. The directorate stressed that citizens and expatriates, including employers and individuals, are prohibited from transporting, employing, harboring, or concealing violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations, or providing them with any form of assistance in finding employment, housing, or transportation. It urged everyone to cooperate and report violators by calling the number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, and 999 in all other regions of the Kingdom.The directorate affirmed that all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality and that those who report violations will bear no liability.
